Winemaker Paolo Caciorgna started making the Ciauria cuvee with the goal of creating an every day Etna Rosso that would demonstrate the beauty of Etna's wines will maintaining a humble simplicity. This 100% Nerello Mascalese is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 6 months in neutral barrels. The wine is aromatically stunning, jumping out of the glass with fresh, wild fruits. On the palate, it is sleek and nimble, with a light-to-medium body and bright red fruit, dried flowers and herbs.
