Pierre Meurgey was born to be a winemaker. His great-grandfather, Joseph-Ernest Meurgey-Perron, founded a wine trading company in the late 1800s in Beaune, and his mother, Marie-Thérèse Croses, grew up in the village of Uchizy, just north of Macon, and near the village of Chardonnay. These deep Burgundian roots help Pierre source the best grapes and produce pure, honest, and refreshing wines, such as this crisp and refreshing white. Fermented in stainless steel, then rested for several months in oak barrels, the wine is features notes of golden and green apple, pear blossom, and ripe lemon.
