Though Macari Vineyards was not established until 1995, the Macari family has owned the 500-acre waterfront farm for over 50 years. Joseph Macari, Jr. is considered a pioneer in natural farming on Long Island through his adoption of biodynamic principles since the vineyard’s first plantings. This sparkling Cabernet Franc debuted in 2013 and has been tough to keep in stock ever since. Deep pink color with pronounced, juicy, ripe berry aromas, the wine finishes with a touch of savory pepper, herbs, spice, and green pepper to compliment the red fruit throughout. Serve chilled alongside lobster rolls, moules frites, or bruschetta with freshly shaved Parmesan-Reggiano.
