With roots going back to 1638, Kopke’s path as a winegrower is intertwined with the history of The Douro region of Portugal where this love affair first began so many years ago. The oldest Port House around, the Kopke family has garnered a reputation for excellence that extends far beyond just Portugal. Made from a blend of Arinto, Gouveio and Malvasia this dry port strikes the perfect balance between richness, sweetness, fruitiness, and freshness. Fresh aromas of apples, pears and white flowers with more mature aromas of roasted almonds and baked apples developing with time. Creamy on the palate, with an ever so slight tannic edge and lingering spiced finish this port can be enjoyed over ice as an aperitif or served with tonic.
