The winery of Fabre Montmayou was founded in Argentina in the early 90's by Herve Joyaux Fabre, a Frenchman looking to start a winery in an emerging wine region. After discovering vineyards that were nearly a century old, Fabre saw it as a no-brainer and settled down. Today, the winery produces five different varietals including malbec, torrontes and cabernet sauvignon. Their goal is to produce wines that blend the best of both modernity and tradition. This cabernet is a lean, efficient display, with a full body that isn't gratuitous or bloated. A hearty wine with nice structure, it is layered with black cherry fruits and notes of graphite, sweet spice, cedar and earth.
