Made from 95% mourvedre and 5% old vine grenache, the Bandol is a powerful, full-bodied wine. The winemaker, Celine Pascale, ages the wine for almost 2 years in oak before releasing it. The result is a dark, nearly opaque wine full of black, wild fruits, spice and fresh herbs. Almost a meal in itself, it serves as a worthy companion to a pan seared ribeye or big bowlful of lamb stew.
