Marsannay is a relatively new Burgundy appellation (created in 1987) but an ancient and well respected source of fine wine. It is situated on the southern outskirts of Dijon at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits. Philippe Collotte is one of the stars of this region, his wines bringing renown from industry insiders and casual drinkers alike. This sustainably farmed 100% pinot noir rose is another winning entry (Marsannay is the only Burgundian village with an appellation for a rosé). Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, this wine is always fresh and balanced, with a bouquet of peach blossom, light herbes and lush red berries.
