Chateau du Cedre

Heritage Cahors 2016

add to cart

The vines of Château du Cèdre root in two different types of soil, stony clay and limestone. The limestone provides straight wines with fine tannins, while the stony clay soil yields more powerful and rich wines. Made from estate-grown Malbec grapes, complemented by a few bunches of Merlot, this red is fresh and welcoming, with intense notes of blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, pepper, and a mint. Try it with grilled vegetables, creamy polenta with osso bucco, or mature cheeses.
