Château Palene, located in the small village of Ladaux, is one of the oldest estates in the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation of Bordeaux. Entre-Deux-Mers, which translates as "between two seas," is located between two bodies of water--the Garonne and the Dordogne. The estate spans over 50 hectares of lush, green landscape, on a mixture of sand, limestone, and clay soils. It’s an ideal home for this blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which presents a mixture of black and red fruit aromas accented by warm spicy and woodsy notes. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, with smooth tannins and ripe, fruity finish.
