Carl Ehrhardt is one of the finest producers in the Rheingau, and this gorgeous, unfiltered, skin-contact Riesling shows why. Hand-harvested from pesticide-free vineyards, the wine is macerated with skins for 12 days before being fermented in large wooden barrels, using only indigenous yeasts. The result is a stunner with whiffs of white tea, orange peel, and potpurri on the nose, with tangy green plum, lime, and floral notes blossoming on the palate. The wine has a long, mineral finish and lively acidity that balances its rich texture. Drink with any and everything.
