The C.V.N.E, Viña Real was first released in 1920 taking its name from the vineyard situated next to the old Camino Real running through El Ciego in Rioja Alavesa. Today, more than half of the fruit is still sourced from estate vineyards. This blend, from one of the best vintages on record is mostly Tempranillo with Graciano, Mazuela, and Garnacha. Mature and complex, the fruit is still wonderfully fresh with plenty of acidity and refined, relaxed tannins. Some bottles may display damaged labels.
