Bulli is nestled in the northwest corner of Emilia-Romagna in the Colli Piacentini, those steep hills, just south of Piacenza. There’s a long tradition of making frizzante metodo ancestrale (pét-nat) in this area, and Bulli has been doing it for five generations. The Bulli family is humble, easygoing, and happy to serve locals everyday. La Signora Bulli is especially proud of the medallion coins the family has won for its wines in the late 1800’s. Her son, Leonardo Bulli, is especially proud of the fact that they never use SO2, and are fully practicing organic. This dry, skin contact bubbly is made from the local grape Malvasia di Candia. The craftsmanship and unique soils impart an honest and direct quality, with rustic minerality and insane drinkability.
