Muscadet is a region at the western end of the Loire Valley, where the Loire River meets the Atlantic Ocean. The area is known for creating dry wines that are defined more by their minerality than their fruit. The wines pair amazingly well with most shellfish, but specifically the pairing of oysters and Muscadet ranks right up there with some other classic pairings like lobster and chardonnay or steak and cabernet sauvignon. Bonnet-Huteau is an organic producer making honest, quintessential Muscadets. This cuvee is their entry-level wine, coming from some of the estate's younger vines.
