Bojo do Luar is a project by Fernando Paiva, an innovative biodynamic winemaker who has been experimenting with adding ground chestnut flowers to grapes and must prior to fermentation. Fernando was the first Portugeuse producer to receive Demeter certification, and had focused on traditional varietals, such as this Loureiro, made from grapes sourced from the Arcos de Valdevez area of Vinho Verde. Filled with notes of juicy apple, pear, apricot cantaloupe, savory quince, and a slight nuttiness, the wine is easy and inviting on the nose and palate. There is depth and texture to the wine that makes it extremely food friendly and an outstanding aperitif. Vegan.
