Kim Engle and his wife Debra Bermingham are quite the team. Kim, a veteran grapegrower, began making wine with Debra, an artist, over three decades ago. Their goal was to create wines that would demonstrate the unlimited potential of the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York. Their estate is family-run, focusing on varietals that thrive in cooler climates like riesling and gewurztraminer. This edelzwicker is modeled after a traditional field blend in Alsace. Predominantly gewurztraminer with a little riesling added for balance, this wine is lush and floral, with the tiniest hint of sweetness on the finish. A delicious white wine for a slightly heavier seafood dish, pork or poultry.
